A seminar at the College of Nursing about the October victories and building the future, attended by 3 military figures.
Seminar guests: The October War made history for the nation, embodied a cultural connection, and highlighted the connection between the army and the Egyptian people.
Cairo University, under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of the University, continues its celebrations of the 51st anniversary of the glorious October victories, as the Faculty of Nursing – under the supervision of Dr. Fatima Ahmed Abed, Dean of the Faculty – organized a symposium entitled “October Victories and Building the Future”, in which Major General Ihab Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mohamed, Vice President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Brigadier General Ashraf Abdel Hamid, and Colonel Mohamed Gouda Abdel Razek lectured.
The symposium was attended by the college’s deputies, a group of faculty members, employees and students.
During the symposium, the importance of the victory achieved on October 6, 1973, and its impact on the nation’s progress were reviewed. The lessons learned from that historical stage were also reviewed, as well as how to enhance the national spirit among new generations.
The symposium also addressed the history of the Egyptian military, the superiority and distinction of the Egyptian soldier throughout history, and his belief in defending his land, and that Egypt throughout its history has always sought to preserve the neighborhood, spread peace and enhance relations of cooperation.
The symposium guests stressed that the October War created a history that embodies a connection with the The civilization of the Egyptian people and the Egyptian army, and highlighted the extent of the people’s cohesion with the armed forces, which had the greatest impact in achieving the glorious October victory. At the end of the symposium, the door was opened for discussion and dialogue with the students and answering their various questions with the aim of expanding their cognitive and intellectual horizons, enhancing awareness of societal issues, and developing the values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland.
